Többe Spedition

Qualified and motivated staff, a modern vehicle fleet and innovative transport solutions: all this makes Többe Spedition a competent partner for national and internationally operating industrial enterprises. We maintain short communication channels within our medium-sized family business. This means that you benefit from flexibility and fast decision-making in your day-to-day operations, while values such as reliability and punctuality are virtually installed in us from birth in our Emsland homeland. Short communications lines are, however, also our guiding theme for the use of intelligent technologies: they help us to combine financial and environmental objectives.

History

100 years of history and is run today by the fourth generation family owner, Claudia Bröker. The head office of this medium-sized business is in Meppen (Niedersachsen).

1908 - the company is founded by Hermann Heinrich Többe. In the beginning, he mostly performs threshing and transportations using a horse and cart.

He re-establishes the company after the Second World War . He concentrates initially on the regional transportation of agricultural goods.

When Hans Többe joins the business in 1973 he pushes ahead with growth and specialisation: In 1988 he purchases the first semi low-loader. As the demand for the transportation of heavy-load and long goods in particular is continually rising, the company resolutely pursues this line of business.

In the year 2000 Claudia Bröker starts working at her father’s business. From 2001she becomes managing director of the company. In the same year the haulage firm moves to its new business premises in Meppen-Versen: located on an area of 2 hectares, with close proximity to the A31, the new office and workshop buildings, open spaces and parking places offer room for future developments.

In 2005 Spedition Többe opens its first branch in Russia with its office in Moscow and starts with transport operations to the former CIS countries. The eastern market segment is now an important mainstay of the business.

In 2007 the company opens the branch in Stuhr, which today handles primarily Scandinavian traffic and international shipments using its own vehicle combinations.

In 2008 a new 1,000 m² warehouse is constructed at the head offices in Meppen, in which customer goods can be stored over the short, medium and longer term. At the same time, a further 150 m² of office rental space is created.

The Eastern Europe division is strengthened in 2010 with the harbour office in Lübeck. The main focus of the branch is partial, complete and LCL cargo loads to Russia as well as third country traffic such as Turkey-Russia, Russia-Africa etc. We also hold natural advantages in the fields of shipping and customs clearance for Russia through the harbour connection in Lübeck.

A further office is opened in St Petersburg in 2011. The direct harbour connection is also a major advantage here in terms of shipping, customs clearance and onward carriage to Russia.

In 2015 Többe renovates and extends the facility at Stuhr: the haulage firm increases the size of its business premises to 1.4 hectares, modernises the office buildings and constructs a new temperature-controlled warehouse: this enables the storage of all kinds of goods - from machine components to foodstuffs.

Since its official opening in 2016, the facility at Stuhr has been handling mainly Scandinavian traffic and international projects along with the traditional European HGV transportation. A further stepping stone in preparing Spedition Többe for future sustainability.
